Imo APC Congress: Okorocha’s former spokesman praises Uzodinma for peaceful conduct

Mr. Onwuasoanya FCC Jones, a former spokesman to former governor of Imo State, and Senator representing Orlu zone, Senator Rochas Okorocha have praised Senator Hope Uzodinma for a successful and peaceful APC Ward Congress in the state.

His observations were recorded in an article he penned on his Facebook page, which reads as follows:

“The APC ward congress held across the 305 wards in Imo State earlier today could be adjudged one of the most peaceful, best organized and recorded a very impressive turnout of Party members.

“It is Party congress and not Imo people’s congress, hence, the success or otherwise should be judged by the turnout of Party members and not the turnout of Imo people. Imo people are scattered across the 18 registered and INEC recognized political Parties in the country. The APC as a ruling Party gave a good account of itself as a Party that is still very popular among the ordinary masses, given the number of people that turned out across the State, defying the threats of insecurity and toxic propaganda against her.

“In my Umuokwara/Umuezeaga ward, Hon Chimara was overwhelmingly elected as the Chairman of the ward, in the presence of top Party leaders of the ward, including Chief Clement Anozie and other statutory stakeholders of the Party. Yours sincerely was elected as one of the State delegates from the ward, and I am grateful to my fellow Party members for entrusting me with this rare and highly valued responsibility.

“We shall continue to do our best to uplift the Party and bring it closer to the people as a vehicle of progress and prosperity under the undisputed leadership of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.”
