Ohakim Never Said he’ll dislodge Araraume by coming to APC – aide debunks misleading publication

Mr. Chukwu Emmanuel, the Political Aide to the former governor of Imo State, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim, have debunked an earlier report from online platform, claiming that the former governor had claimed that his entrance into the All Progressives Congress APC, would dislodge anyone in Okigwe zone from the party.

The report which was causing ripples online, came to the attention of MaaziTV publisher, Maazi Obinna Akuwudike, who’s years of interaction with the former governor, led him to doubt the report, and as such put a call across to Mr. Emmanuel for clarification over the matter.

Mr. Emmanuel dismissed the report as false, informing MaaziTV, that the online platform, Elombah blog, had already apologized for the misinformation, and had pulled down the misleading story.

Mr. Emmanuel stated that at no time was Senator Ifeanyi Araraume or whosoever mentioned by His Excellency Dr. Ikedi Ohakim, during the interactive dinner he had with members of the Imo State APC, led by the State Chairman Chief Barr. Marcon Nlemigbo on their appeal visit to his Excellency to join the ruling party.

Mr. Emmanuel further pointed out that His Excellency Dr Ikedi Ohakim, is yet to respond to the clarion call, stating that as a Statesman, his primary obligation remains to ensure a better Imo by giving his best quota for a better governance while using same to refute the Elombah blog false publication where they claimed His Excellency said he was the face of Emeka Ihedioha’s Government.

Dr Ikedi Ohakim was Governor of Imo State from 2007 to 2011 (Before now has remained the best ever time for Ndi Imo in good governance and quality infrastructure)

Since after the 2019 General Elections, the former governor have remained apolitical, playing more of the role of a statesman to the Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha administration, as well as to the Senator Hope Uzodinma administration offering advise whenever he is called upon to do so.

The APC Chairman of Imo State, Chief Barr Marcon Nlemigbo, was the Imo PDP State Chairman, when Dr Ikedi Ohakim was governor, and used the meeting to point out what Imo APC, and the State in general, stands to gain, if Dr Ikedi Ohakim should join the party.
