Pictures: Uzodinma Recovers More Property looted by Okorocha’s Family members

The Imo state Government has recovered the Imo Broadcasting Corporation IBC properties at Orji in Owerri North Local Goverment Area, which covers about a total of 48 hectare of land, converted to private use by the Rochas Okorocha administration.

Some of the lands, which are currently in various stages of development, were converted to private use, by family members, and aides of the former Governor, and senator representing Orlu zone.

MaaziTV recalls that Senator Hope Uzodinma have vowed to recover every property belonging to Imo people, converted to private use by the former administration, in line with the White Paper report on Land.

Senator Uzodinma in keeping with his promise to restore the Commonwealth of Imo people, looted and converted to private use by the former administration in the state, have painstakingly commissioned probes into the activities of the past administration, in order to ascertain what was looted from the state, as well as from Imo citizens, with a view to ensure that the looted property are returned to the state, as well as to private owners whose lands were forcefully taken from them.

Most of the property recovered in the raid, are believed to belong to Uche Nwosu, the son in-law to the former governor, as well as some of Okorocha’s former aides.

MaaziTV recalls that the Hope Uzodinma administration had seized some property from Okorocha’s family, including the KOM University previously named Eastern Palm University, as well as the Royal Spring Palm Hotel where Okorocha himself was arrested for trying to break into the premises.

News of the recovery was received with gladness across the state, with Imolites praising Senator Hope Uzodinma for taking the bold step to ensure looted property of the state, and of citizens of the state, were recovered from Okorocha’s family and his associates.
