Still analyzing the events of last weekend, one, without any iota of partisan inclination would without bias will concur to the big and audacious political will of the #PeoplesGovernor Hope Uzodimma at transforming our dear state, most especially on the recovery of Imo stolen assets.
Unlike the last administration of Former Governor Emeka Ihedioha who paid lipservice to recovery of Imo looted assets by the Okorocha’s administration, Gov. Hope Uzodimma is taking the bull by the horn and going all out to retrieve all the Imo asset from the kleptomaniac grips of the former Emperor of the state.
In all indexes of good governance, strong political will and determination plays a very crucial role in the life of any leader desirous of making a mark.
While the Ihedioha administration abandoned Hon. Jasper Ndubuaku who was then the head of the recovery committee when he was beaten, striped naked and thrown into the gutter by Okorocha’s armed thugs, the then Governor Ihedioha looked the other way while Jasper suffered that public humiliation and in extension – the government and that was the last of what was ever heard of recovery before the administration exited.
But here is now a leader who feels the impulse of the people and stand for them when they are needed most.
Gov. Hope Uzodimma has demonstrated strong political will at not only protecting the collective interest of every Imolite but has also defended and protected his appointees from suffering public humiliation.
Just last week, we all saw how the former Emperor of the state in his usual rascal best attempted at humiliating the state government but the government responded appropriately and cut him to sizes.
One thing is to idealize good governance hinged on accountability to the people and another thing is implementing same in practicality and that is what the present government is currently doing. While the immediate past administration set and idealize good governance, the present 3R administration of Gov. Uzodimma is practicalizing same in actuality.
We were only hearing of recovery on the internet in the recent past but right now, Imo people can see with their eyes that Eastern Palm University is now completely owned by Imo people with a new name.
Royal spring estate hitherto appropriated to the criminal former first family of the state are now completely owned by the state and other criminal acquisitions are already on their way to becoming Imo’s again.
